Nintendo is NOT kidding around anymore: today they dedicated a whole webpage to the accessibility for the upcoming Switch 2!
For anyone who don't know Nintendo's history, they were actually pioneers in game accessibility, and were the first game company that released an accessible game controller in the early 90s.
Sadly, since then they have not kept up with this trend, and have for the last decade been quite inaccessible for many disabled gamers.
And then came the Switch 2, which introduces:
- Text options that goes up to large text
- Bold text
- High contrast mode
- Button remapping
- Display colours
- Screen zoom
- Mono Audio
- Text to Speech
- GameChat Voice Speech-to-Text
- GameChat Text-to-Speech Audio
This console has the potential to write history!
You can read all about it here: https://www.nintendo.com/us/gaming-systems/switch-2/accessibility/
